Hello all!                                           

I can hardly believe that June is almost over and it's time to start talking about July!  June was jam packed with events, from the Luncheon at the Caroline to World Wide Knit in Public Day and more.  All I can say is a great time was had by all who attended any and/or all of the June events.

Not to be outdone, July is shaping up to be just as busy and fun as June.  Sox on the Square is hosting a very special guest, Andrea Wong, who will be teaching how to knit sock in the Portuguese style.  You may remember she was here several years ago to help us celebrate our 1st anniversary.  If you took her workshop then, and you are a sock knitter, you aren't going to want to miss this event on July 13 at 1:30pm.  Cost is $35. 

The class list in July looks great!  We have some of our regular favorites scheduled, but we also have some new classes on the roster.  If you are interested in lace, there is a great beginning class taught by Kay.  Kay will also be doing a needle felting class--Christmas in July!  Have you been wanting to learn the Cat Bordhi techniques for knitting socks?  Karen will be teaching you three different techniques on baby socks.  Knit them as a gift and give all three--babies are always losing their socks and then they will have a spare!!! Check the calendar page for all our great classes scheduled this month.

Due to the 4th falling on a Friday, we will only have one Late Night Knit this month--July18th.  Kids' Night Out is on the second Friday.  A really special event this month is Stitch 'n Pitch Night at the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday, July 19.  Check out their website  (www.stitchnpitch.com) for more information.   I'm trying to talk Dean into going to this--it's my birthday, he loves the Reds, but he is balking (to use a baseball term) because he's afraid he'll have to knit!  Also, don't forget about our Charity Knit on the 3rd Sunday of the month.
